How to set A record
A Records are also known as Address Records or Host Records. An A Record only resolves to an IP address. A Records are used to point your domain name to the IP address of your website. If you own the domain name abc.com.au which is hosted with Company A and the IP address of your hosting server is 127.0.0.1 then your A Records are 127.0.0.1. Usually you would have DNS records to point your domain to your hosting provider (Company A).
If you use Company A to host your website but you use Company B for your domain name registration, email accounts and DNS records, then you need to point your domain name to the IP address of Company A (127.0.0.1). This is because Company B is the registrar. In order to do this you must change the A Records at Company B.
