Follow the steps below to configure Windows Live Mail.
Step 1: Open Windows Live Mail. Click on Accounts tab and click Email.
Step 2: Enter your email address and password, enter display name. Tick mark on” Manually configure server settings”. Click on Next.
Step 3: Select Incoming Server Type as POP or IMAP server. We'd suggest using POP since it keeps a copy of your email on your computer so that you can view it even if you're offline.
Enter the Incoming mail server address as mail.yourdomain.com or servername (see recommended mail settings )
Set the Incoming Port for POP3 as 110. If you are using SSL then port for POP3 should be 995.
(Note - If you're using IMAP, you need to set it to 143. For SSL, IMAP port is 993)
Set the Outgoing mail server to mail.yourdomain.com or servername (see recommended mail settings )
Set the Outgoing Port for SMTP as 587. If you are using SSL then port for SMTP should be 465.
Tick mark on "Requires authentication" and click Next.
Step 4: Click Finish. That’s it. You are all set to use your Windows live email.
